Dr. William Mishler was born in Cleveland, OH. He received his undergraduate degree at University of Dayton, Dayton, OH, after which he attended medical school at Ohio State Medical School in Columbus, OH. His Internship was completed at Mount Carmel Medical School in Columbus, OH and there he stayed for his orthopedic training at Mount Carmel Medical Center. Following his Residency, Dr. Mishler accomplished a hand surgery fellowship at Derbyshire Royale Infirmary in Derby, England under Dr. John Varian and thereafter, he went to Paris where he did a hand fellowship with Dr. Raol Tubina. During the course of his hand fellowship in Paris, he decided to return to the United States where he began his practice in Reno, Nevada in 1980. Since coming to Reno, Dr. Mishler has accented his practice on general orthopedic surgery with focus on sports injuries and trauma surgery to the point that he has an in-house extremity MRI for use of the upper and lower extremity. He also, besides his boards in orthopedic surgery, has his boards in anti-aging medicine which is a new revolutionary field, particularly bone and joint problems of those in our aging population. |
