Dr. Pratt is an orthopaedic surgeon with a special interest in hand and upper extremity surgery. In addition to minimally invasive arthroscopic procedures involving the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder, Dr. Pratt is trained in the latest techniques in microsurgery, arthroplasty (joint replacement) and reconstruction.
Dr. Pratt attended UCLA where he received his bachelor¿s of arts degree in Scandinavian Languages. After undergraduate school, he traveled to the East Coast where he completed both his medical doctorate and masters in public health with emphasis in administration management at the George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
Dr. Pratt completed his residency training in general orthopaedic surgery at the esteemed Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City, New York which is affiliated with both New York Presbyterian Hospital Cornell and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Institute. After finishing his residency, Dr. Pratt pursued specialty training in the hand and upper extremity at Washington University¿s Barnes-Jewish Hospital in Saint Louis, Missouri under the tutelage of Drs. Richard Gelberman and Paul Manske.
Dr. Pratt was born and raised in Orange County, California. Upon finishing his training, he joined Precision Orthopaedics in 2006. He and his wife reside in Salinas and attend Cypress Community Church. He has an active interest in medical missions.
Dr. Pratt is a member of the American Medical Association and candidate member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and American Society for Surgery of the Hand. He is author of several peer-reviewed publications in orthopaedic surgery.
