Dr. Granberry began his medical career in Galveston, TX at the University of Texas Medical Branch. He learned Orthopedics at Baylor College of Medicine, in Houston, TX. While in residency he participated in total joint research, which was ultimately presented at the AAOS national meeting. After residency, he completed a fellowship in Total Joint Replacement with Dr. William Murray at the University of California at San Francisco.
Dr. Granberry began practice in Mobile, AL on January 1, 1990, and has developed an adult reconstructive practice, heavily involved with Total Joint Replacement. Mergers with other groups, and an eventual move into a new building built in partnership with Springhill Medical Center, has positioned Dr. Granberry, and his partners in AOC, at the forefront of the delivery of musculo-skeletal care in the region.
Dr. Granberry continues to keep abreast of the newest information and techniques in Total Joint Surgery. After a 6 month development period, during which he went to several specialty centers, he is performing Total Hip Replacement Surgery utilizing a new 2-incision technique, which helps speed patient recovery. Advances in instrumentation, and exposure techniques have helped the Total Knee Replacement Surgery along the same lines. |
